Summer...Bah!

I am so bad about posting here and I want to do better because I love LJ so. I hate this time of year though and never want to do anything. It's hot. It is damned hot. The heat index has been in triple digets for the past three weeks. The humidity makes walking out to the mailbox feel like swimming through the air. Even at early AM it is just mug. I'm not walking because even the dog doesn't want to. She goes out and does her business, checks out the yard for two or three minutes, then thumps on the door with her "let me in now!" thump. She watches the world go by from her favorite window, but the world isn't going by this month. No joggers, no walkers, no other dogs. Just other people like me, in their air-conditioned cars, wondering when this already endless summer will go away.
