What's not fun?

What's not fun is walking into your main bathroom and asking yourself "Why am I splashing through the bathroom?" Aaaaargh!
It was late afternoon, and evidently sometime yesterday morning
one of the hoses under hubby's sink had decided to spring a leak.
Not a drip-drip leak, but a small gusher. Everything piled in the
cabinet neath the sink was drenched, as were the throwrugs (which
are really thick and had thankfully soaked up a lot). The floors
are tile, but unfortunately the water had made it over into the
largest closet in the whole house and soaked the carpet. I was
not happy!! So much mess, and all because of one stupid hose that
we replaced for a whole $5.47. Thank gawd we didn't need a plumber.
I'm trying to look on the bright side. What if this had happened
when we were out of town. The mind boggles at how much we are at
the mercy of our modern conveniences.
