I can't stop watching the news and feeling so bad for the people and animals that have been devastated by this latest hurricane. We were so lucky here in Georgia. Down here in the middle of the state we caught just the outer bands, heavy rains and whipping winds, several small tornadoes. One of them set down in Ft. Valley and destroyed one house and their local credit union. Downed electrical wires and tree limbs, but that's about it.
We're still under tornado watch until this evening, but I look outside and the sun is shining brightly, seemingly just another summer day. What's that old saying, something about 'appearances deceive'?
